Ahmedabad Metro Phase 1 in India is a cooperation project between the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat. The whole line was officially used on September 30, 2022. Mo Di, Prime Minister of India, attended the opening ceremony and cut the ribbon.
The line has 33 stations (including 4 underground stations and 29 elevated stations), connecting Gujarat on all sides. It is a fast track from Gandhinagar to Ahmedabad, which ushers in a new era of urban rail transit development in Gujarat and is of important strategic significance in India.
